An anonymous owner has been quietly building up its fleet with two kamsarmax newbuildings from Yangzijiang and a 35,000-dwt handysize bulker from Jiandong Shipyard, all originally ordered by UK-based Graig Shipping.
The 81,800-dwt Toba and Olivia R (both built 2015), which Graig ordered from Yangzijiang in 2013 for a reported $27.6m apiece, as well as a handysize, the 35,000-dwt Ben Rinnes (built 2015), which Graig ordered from Jiandong the same year for an unknown price, changed hands over the past year thanks to lease financings — interestingly, not with Chinese money.
