Maersk Group aims to improve ties with Chinese authorities through a renewed focus on China-based investment vehicle Maersk China Ltd, with the move of a top executive to run it directly from Beijing.
Relations with Beijing have been in focus since last summer, when the Chinese government killed the ambitious planned P3 alliance of Maersk Line, Mediterrean Shipping Co (MSC) and CMA CGM.
