BW LNG is putting the first of its 11 steam turbine-driven LNG carriers through its 15-year dry-docking — and it is a big job.
Aside from the normal work required for a third special survey, the 138,059-cbm BW Boston (built 2003), which was freshly renamed for the fourth time, is having its Integrated Automation Systems (IAS) renewed throughout the vessel at Navantia Shiprepairers’ FeneFerrol shipyard in northern Spain.
