Last week, Tokyo-based Kumiai held a naming ceremony for its very large gas carrier (VLGC) built at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI)’s Ulsan shipyard attended by 60 guests.
In the pre-naming dinner hosted by Kumiai, company president Nobutaka Mukae said that he had now “accomplished one of my dreams”.
“I have always wanted to have one of our ships built at HHI as it is the largest shipyard in the world,” he said.
