Bergen-based Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi sold the 110,000-dwt SKS Tana (built 1996) last month to unidentified Turkish buyers for $7m. Reference sources are now showing the ship in the fleet of Karadeniz Holding as Karadeniz Powership Esra Sultan.

This is the third ship bought by Karadeniz this year. The first two are scheduled for conversion into floating power stations.

Company officials were unavailable to clarify if that is also the case with the company’s latest acquisition.
