The USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation (AAF) says the academy demanded the group immediately leave its offices in the Babson Center after the ruling by Judge Joseph Bianco of the Eastern District of New York’s Long Island branch.
The Kings Point academy, one of five training centres for US mariners, has argued that the space the AAF has occupied rent free is needed during classroom renovations.
