Industry sources say consultants working for Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources have already held pre-bid meetings and now sent out full documentation.
The ministry said earlier that it had pre-qualified 13 outfits interested in submitting tenders to supply a 3.5-million-tonne-per-annum (mtpa) floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) for the Red Sea port of Aqaba.
Earlier, the government set aside some $100m to start construction work on a jetty for the terminal.
