OIVIND O Larsen, head of the JJ Ugland group, has withdrawn from the board of Pickupcat and the group has sold its shareholding in the company.
Pickupcat, chaired by Arve Johnsen, former boss of Norwegian state oil company Statoil, has developed a new tanker design in which the vessel´s cargo section can be separated and reconnected.
Larsen tells the Norwegian business daily Dagens Naeringsliv that his resignation is not linked to doubts about the project.
