ING Bank is threatening owners with the arrest of their vessels if they do not pay it for fuel supplies contracted with failed Danish group OW Bunker.
The bank, assigned by the OW liquidators, is refusing to hand over payments to physical suppliers — increasing the threat that owners will have to pay twice for fuel to avoid bunker providers moving to arrest ships themselves once it becomes clear they will not get paid.
