Edwin Jager, the bank’s Singapore shipping executive, told a shipping conference last week that DVB likes to work with partners who have “skin in the game”.
But Dagfinn Lunde, who retired in 2013 as the bank’s head of shipping, says the development of a joint-venture model for shipping investments through the Shipping and Intermodal Investment Management (SIIM) fund was one of his two main accomplishments at DVB, along with the “sectorisation” in which he reorganised DVB shipfinance from geographical to market departments.
