The appointment is being viewed as forming a strong line of communication between KDB, DSME and the STX Shipbuilding Group, and creating speculation that it could eventually play a key role in resolving the financial problems at STX.
Although Jung has worked at DSME and STX, he is regarded as a “KDB man”, as that is where he started his career.
