Goldenport Shipmanagement of Greece is said to be close to walking away from the purchase of the 69,700-dwt Dooyang Hope (built 1988).
Sources in Greece say the deal with Korean operator Dooyang Line Co has collapsed.
Goldenport executive, Captain George Karavas, would not confirm the reports but says both parties are "in dispute". He also says the negotiating price was around the $7m mark.
