The joint venture — formed by Sweden’s Stena Bulk and Singapore’s Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) — threw a big party in the Lion City last week to name the first of the six co-owned medium-range (MR) products tankers.

The IMO II MAX range is designed to carry IMO II/III cargoes as well as clean and dirty products. The vessels are all equipped with 18 cargo tanks of a maximum 3,000-cbm capacity, as well as a nitrogen-based inert-gas system.
