German owners Bernhard Schulte and Sloman Neptun are behind plans to launch a chemical/products-tanker pool for which a total of 14 newbuildings have been ordered.
The two owners, well-known partners already in the Unigas pool for LPG/ethylene carriers, have ordered between them 11 newbuildings of 16,500 dwt at China's Jiangzhou Union Shipbuilding.
It is understood that at least three owners, not necessarily all German, will be involved in the pool.
