Christened "Frank" by colleagues, the 47-year-old is happy to be on his second posting to London. He joined NYK in 1979 as a young economics graduate and admits it was his elder brother, then working at Mitsui & Co, who encouraged him to join. At the time he says he did not even know what the company did.
