New York-based Foremost Maritime continues to expand its dry fleet.
The James Chao-controlled shipping company has returned to Oshima Shipbuilding and signed up for two 85,000-dwt kamsarmax bulkers for delivery in 2019.
No options have been disclosed.
Foremost, a New York-headquartered bulker owner, did not immediately respond to a call seeking confirmation of the order.
The Oshima deal is the second newbuilding contract that Foremost has sealed this year.
