Total’s LNG shipping project manager Frederic Hannon, who was speaking at this week’s LNG 18 meeting in Australia, said the vessel — believed to be the Red Zed I — has left China for Sabetta Port on the Yamal Peninsula.
A sistership, the Red Zed II, has also been delivered in China.
These two purpose-built newbuildings, contracted by ZPMC-Red Box Energy Services at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), will join a fleet of 10 existing heavylift vessels that are delivering 250 modules — pre-fabricated at shipyards in China and the Philippines — to Yamal.
