LNG shipowners are circling LNG regasification specialist Excelerate Energy, LNG industry insiders said this week.
Talk has been sweeping the industry in the past few days that the George Kaiser-controlled company is set to be the subject of a sales deal.
They suggest Kaiser may now be more of a willing seller for his regas shipping business, which is widely seen as a non-core asset, as the value of his oil and gas assets weaken in the current climate of low crude prices.
