Company head Thanassis Martinos confirms that EastMed has bought two 60,000-dwt bulker newbuildings at Oshima Shipbuilding that are set for delivery this year and in 2016. Hull Nos 10781 and 10782 are believed to have been contracted by Danish owner Norden and have been sold on to the Greek owner for $50m en bloc.
UK-based online platform VesselsValue.com says Hull No 10781 is worth $22.7m
