Major capesize owners are quietly idling tonnage, with one big name parking its entire spot-trading capesize fleet until further notice and no expectation of moving the vessels anytime soon.
Three European owners have turned the Kaohsiung anchorage in the Taiwan Straits into a capesize parking lot. Others have begun to go further and put some ships in cold layup.
