Dynagas steps up to take ownership of five Yamal vessels

Greece’s Dynagas has been selected as the shipowner that will take on ownership of five icebreaking LNG carrier newbuildings worth over $1.5bn for Russia’s Arctic-based Yamal LNG project.

Those following the business told TradeWinds early this week that a formal announcement that Dynagas will take over the 172,400-cbm Arc7 ice-class vessels from project company Yamal Trade is expected in the next few days following the conclusion of talks in London last week.
