Industry sources say the Greek owner will order one Arc7 ice-class, 58,000-dwt condensate carrier at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) in southern China.
They detail that a second vessel is to be constructed by Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corp-controlled Artech Helsinki Shipyard in Finland, which specialises in building vessels capable of operating in Arctic waters.
The price of the ships has yet to emerge.
