The 82,000-dwt Asita Sun (renamed Dona Bibi, built 2012) and 81,300-dwt Orion Pride (renamed Dona Tara, built 2011) have appeared on the company’s website and been incorporated into its fleet.
Chandris’ announcement that it had bought the Orion Pride disproved market rumours that compatriot owner Theodore Veniamis is also part of the kamsarmax buying spree. Some brokers had linked Veniamis’ Golden Union to the purchase of the vessel.
