Market sources say Bodouroglou has bought the three 57,000-dwt supramaxes Arrozero Tres, Chungo Tres and Minero Tres (all built 2011) and 28,500-dwt Destino Dos (built 2002) in a direct deal with Greece’s Egnatia Marfin Bank.
Bodouroglou was not available for comment on the reports.
This is the first private acquisition made by Bodouroglou since 2006. Paragon Shipping was floated on the Nasdaq exchange in 2007.
