OAKLAND: APL Ltd and Crowley American Transport said they plan to begin
a weekly service from mid-September between a number of ports along the
East Coast of the US and parts of South America.
The memorandum of understanding, which is subject to regulatory
approval, calls for Crowley to charter and operate panies to share
vessel space. The companies already share a weekly feeder service in
the Caribbean.
