Industry sources say Moller-Maersk is expected to re-tender shortly to South Korea’s big three shipyards for its planned haul of four 19,000-teu-plus vessels.
The company is also seeking a pair of optional slots.
Brokers say Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries visited Moller-Maersk in Copenhagen last week to discuss the vessels, while DSME staff are believed to have travelled to Denmark for similar meetings with the company in the past few days.
