Fake news has turned much of social media into an outright cesspool of disinformation, especially during the US presidential campaign and beyond.
Just ask Celebrity Cruise Lines, which is one of the latest victims.
Last Thursday, right-wing website Truthfeed.com published an article with the headline “VIDEO: Celebrity Cruise Lines Attacks Trump and His SUPPORTERS In New Ad”.
The article’s intro read: “In a stunningly rude and inappropriate ad, smug cruise line Celebrity snubs their snooty noses at Trump and his supporters.
