Ebe was set up by Basile Aloy, a seventh generation member of the famous Saverys family, who used proceeds from the sale of 16% of shares in Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) by his mother, Virginie Saverys, to her brother Marc.
Now Virginie and her family are using the proceeds to invest in shipping again. Basile has experience as a dry cargo broker and believes now is the right time to start buying ships.
