Greek owner Alma Maritime is sticking to a conservative chartering policy and has clinched a one-year time charter for the 158,000-dwt Suez Rajan (built 2011) with oil major BP.
The rate is said to be $16,000 per day, which is in line with recently concluded deals.
Alma boss Stamatis Molaris declines to comment on the report.
The ship is one of four sisterships delivered last year to Alma by Hyundai Heavy Industries.
