United Arab Shipping Co (UASC) is “starting a new era” as it takes delivery of the first in a slew of 17 eco-efficient, LNG-ready ultra large boxship newbuildings.
Speaking at the naming of the first vessel, UASC chairman Salem Ali Al-Zaabi and president and chief executive Jorn Hinge both described the vessels as “the first tangible assets” in a transformation process that has been ongoing for the past few years at the Middle Eastern company.
