Teekay Shipping, one of the world’s largest tanker operators, has so far managed to avoid a major assault or hijacking while other big name players in the region have been hit.
It could be good fortune or more likely what the company says its “obsessive” adherence to the best management practices (BMP) agreed by industry associations and navies and its own intelligence and monitoring of the region.
