The US National Retail Federation (NRF) expects domestic inbound container volumes to be down 6.8% in February.
Ports are expected to see an estimated 1.03mteu arrive in the country this month, according to the report by the NRF and Hackett Associates.
However, the monthly report expects there to be modest year-on-year increases in imports through most of the remaining first half of 2012.
