Mads Boye Petersen has never actually seen a polar bear during his time on Baffin Island.
But such is the nature of working on the remote Canadian island — which lies mostly within the Arctic Circle — that the subject did come up during his training when he visited as chief executive of Nordic Bulk Carriers.
