The Odfjell family’s shipping tradition is thriving in Norway — thanks to a vineyard in Chile 13,000km away. Chilean wine created an intimate bond in what had been a distant relationship between company patriarch Dan Odfjell, 76, and eldest son Laurence, 49.
The down-to-earth pair now present a surprisingly human face to their corporate entity, Oslo-listed chemical tanker specialist Odfjell, which marks its 100th anniversary this year.
