TradeWinds sources suggest the Shikoku-built, 29,800-dwt Venture Bulker (built 2004) is in the process of being sold for in excess of $8.5m. Online platform VesselsValue.com says the ship is worth $11.8m.
A couple of weeks, ago a similar vessel, the 32,000-dwt Durban Bulker (built 2005), was reported sold by Lauritzen to Taylor Maritime for $12.9m.
Both ships have been on long-term charter to Lauritzen, which has exercised purchase options on them.
