The 2,300-dwt Cemfjord (built 1984) sank on 2 January as it headed for the UK port of Runcorn laden with a cargo of cement, claiming the lives of all eight of its crew.
Class information listed on port-state control (PSC) database Equasis states that the vessel had passed a drydocking, or so-called renewal survey, on 13 December. The survey was carried out at the Gdynia Shipyard in Poland.
