A new digital marine procurement and supply marketplace has been launched as an independent start-up funded by Danish ship supplier Wrist Group.
Source2Sea has been designed with input from leading industry players in an attempt "to eliminate the analogue friction that still plagues marine procurement and supply," the new firm said.
The marketplace aims to deliver "unmatched efficiency, convenience, and transparency," said Source2Sea chief executive, Mikael Weis who spent 20 years at online shipping procurement system innovator ShipServ, becoming its chief operating officer in 2017.
