Wilson Sons has taken a stake in Israeli start-up Docktech to develop digital twins of Brazilian ports.
The Brazilian terminal, tug and shipyard player has acquired a minority equity position in the Tel Aviv company with the potential for an exclusivity agreement to install Docktech's system throughout the country's ports.
"The worldwide maritime infrastructure still does not offer tools capable of accurately determining the real depth of the access channels to the ports and the mooring berths," said Marcio Castro, the executive director of Wilson Sons' tugboat business.
