German industrial and technology company ThyssenKrupp and Norwegian maritime services company Wilhelmsen Group have launched their new additive manufacturing joint venture Pelagus 3D.
The aim is for Pelagus 3D to become the largest one-stop, on-demand digital manufacturing partner for the shipping and offshore industries, using additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, to deliver maritime spare parts more efficiently in terms of time and cost.
