Wartsila's profit for the third quarter of 2019 has been hit by massive overspending and falling orders and sales, particularly for scrubbers ahead of the IMO 2020 deadline.
The Finnish group expects its full-year result will suffer a €150m ($166.6) one-time charge, of which €84m has already been recognised, related to "unforeseen cost overruns" in certain projects.
