F-drones has carried out the first beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone delivery off Singapore, dropping off a package of vitamins to a ship 2.7 km (1.6 miles) off the city-state’s coast.
The 2 kg package, delivered to an Eastern Pacific Shipping vessel, may have been small but the start-up’s leaders are betting it heralds a new beginning in the way supplies are delivered to ships offshore.
