Quadrise's bioMSAR has not eradicated the case for its original synthetic marine fuel, chief executive Jason Miles argues.
"In our mind, efficiency savings of 5% to 10% are still tangible when you are trying to achieve savings quickly," he said.
"It is relatively straightforward to convert a refinery and a ship to run on MSAR, and that provides you the flexibility to switch to the biofuel version as a means of transitioning to meet environmental standards."
