Japan’s Mitsui OSK Line has joined Wartsila in backing a Finnish startup developing onboard methane-splitting technology to generate hydrogen.
MOL and MOL Plus — the conglomerates venture fund and startup investor — have signed an agreement with Hycamite, a four-year-old company which is developing pyrolysis technology to take methane and convert it to solid carbon and useable hydrogen via heat and a catalyst.
