Norway's Kongsberg Digital has secured two more data and digitalisation deals with domestic shipowner Island Offshore and oil major Shell.
The company said it has signed a fleet agreement to kit out Island's 26 offshore vessels with its Vessel Insight solution to collect information aimed at improving efficiency.
Kongsberg said the platform will allow the shipowner to use advanced decision support tools and benchmark its ships by comparing operational data to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, as well as automate reporting processes.
