Mauro Balzarini’s plan to build a new generation of LNG-powered livestock carriers has been delayed by the lockdown in Italy.
Work on the NextSeaWell project has dramatically slowed because of restrictions to stop the spread of the coronavirus affecting its operations close to Milan.
“The situation in Italy, coupled with the increasing global travel bans, means we’ve had to delay design and testing work,” Balzarini said.
