Suezmax spot rates took a leap Wednesday as tanker owners were on a confident footing for loadings out of West Africa.
The Baltic Exchange's average time-charter equivalent rate for the sector jumped 12% today to reach $24,600 per day today.
That came on the back of an assessment for rates of WorldScale (WS) 81.7 on the benchmark TD20 route from West Africa to Europe, which marked a jump from WS 75.1
