A Vroon-owned tanker came under attack from pirates on Monday after a hectic weekend of activity which also saw a Kuwaiti tanker and a Turkish bulker escape.
There was bad news for a Malaysian owner, however, as a boxship assaulted on Friday was finally confirmed as hijacked.
Vroon’s 46,900-dwt Iver Exact (built 2007) was more fortunate in the early hours of Monday morning after coming under attack closer to the Indian coast than Somalia.
