Another day, another low for VLCC rates.
The Baltic Exchange assessed VLCC time charter equivalent rates at -$21,943 per day on Wednesday, its lowest ever assessment for a tanker class that saw multiple all-time lows set last week.
“Limited fixtures in both the [Middle East Gulf] and West provide little help to the market today,” Howe Robinson said in its daily report.
