Sinokor Merchant Marine has reportedly concluded a scrap sale of one of its VLCCs.
The 300,000-dwt tanker Plata Pioneer (built 1999) has gone for optional delivery for $440 per ldt or $17.1m, market sources say.
A representative of Sinokor did not respond to a request for comment on the suggested transaction.
TradeWinds reported last Friday that the tanker was under negotiations for a $17m demolition sale.
