A boost for VLCC demand has moved a step closer after work began on a crude pipeline in Argentina.
State producer YPF is spending $2.5bn on the pipeline to take oil from the Vaca Muerta (“dead cow”) field to the port of Punta Colorada in the Atlantic basin.
Crude production from the field has reached around 300,000 barrels per day.
